See Wright on Time illustrations in person!

The incredible Tanja Bauerle has several of her amazing illustrations from Wright on Time: Arizona, Book 1 showcased at the Tempe public library in Tempe, Arizona. The other featured artists look great, too. I hope to see all of their works in person, as it’s always a completely different experience than seeing art in a book (although that’s fairly awesome, too!). The artwork will be up from now through November 29, 2010. To see more about Tanja, check out her website.

In Stores Now

So fun to see my books for sale in a brick-and-mortar store. :) Here they are at Changing Hands in Tempe, AZ.

Tanja Bauerle’s work at the Tempe Center for the Arts

Now through September 19th, work from illustrators around Arizona can be seen at the Tempe Center for the Arts.  Gallery viewing is free.  IKEA has set up little tables and chairs, and kids can make their own little homemade picture books.

My family and I went to the opening on Saturday, July 18th.  I enjoyed getting to meet Tanja Bauerle in person — she is the illustrator for the Wright on Time books.  While all the illustrators were great, Tanja was the star of the show!  Her work is fantastic.  She was showing off her full color painted illustrations for the real life story about two puppies found at the Grand Canyon — a cute picture book called The Adventures of Salt and Soap at Grand Canyon written by Lori Rome.

Check out this article in The Arizona Republic: “Gilbert illustrator’s art on display in Tempe” for more information about Tanja and the illustrator show.
